Pour ce qui est du magazine français, l’édition classe Hail To The Thief 19ème dans le Top 100. Le classement est assez varié musicalement. (merci Luke) Le site mère américain vient quant-à -lui d’arrêter sa sélection des 50 meilleurs albums de l’année. les choix musicaux y sont assez étendus encore une fois (aussi bien Blur, que Cat Power, Johnny Cash, Beyoncé…)! Hail To The Thief y est mentionné avec ce commentaire :
