Sir Paul McCartney est un fan de Radiohead depuis un moment semble-t-il. En 2005, il a même choisi de faire appel au même producteur que le groupe,Nigel Godrich pour ‘Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.’

En 2007, il demande à Thom Yorke de collaborer avec lui sur une chanson de son album : “Mr Bellamy”. A priori, il était invité à jouer du piano sur la chanson. Mais le leader de Radiohead va décliner l’offre !

Toute la presse titre alors que Thom Yorke “snobbe” l’ancien Beatles !

Dans The Observer Music Monthly, en décembre 2007, Thom s’explique : il ne se sentait juste pas assez à l’aise au piano… pourtant, il aimait bien la chanson !

On pourrait en rester là, sauf que par ci par là, on trouve quelques critiques bien lardées plus anciennes. Un exemple en 1995, où Thom N’a pas vraiment apprécié qu’on puisse penser que “Planet Telex” soit inspiré d’une chanson de Mc Cartney… “On est arty nous” !
