On peut lire le nom d’ « All I Need » sur une photo postée sur le blog du groupe le 30 septembre 2005. On peut y voir un tableau noir avec le nom des chansons que le groupe a travaillée en studio du 19 au 30 septembre 2005.

Sur le blog du groupe toujours, trois photos, prises pendant l’enregistrement de 5ths/All I Need. On pense alors à l’époque que les deux titres font référence à un même morçeau. Ed confirmera en 2008 que ce n’est pas le cas.

Le 8 mars, le groupe remet  ça et poste une autre photo avec une liste de chansons, cette fois All I Need n’y est plus…

Thom explique qu’il considère qu’All I Need a encore besoin d’être travaillée.

En avril 2008, MTV a décidé de se servir de ’All I need”, pour une campagne de sensibilisation contre le trafic humain et l’esclavage.
Le groupe a accepté de suite

et Radiohead s’est donc associé la campagne MTV Exit (End Exploitation and Trafficking).

Un clip vidéo a donc été produit par Steve Rogers et John Seal qui met en parallèle deux univers, comme le décrit mieux Thom :
