Ce sont des extraits d’un sketch des Jerky Boys (une paire de ’canuleurs’ téléphoniques de New York) qui a inspiré le titre de l’album. En voici le texte :

Vers la fin des années 80, on ne pouvait trouver ça que sur des cassettes de contrebande (appelées plus souvent bootlegs). Jonny en a trouvé une, et a beaucoup apprécié.

La chanson sort sur Pablo Honey :

A la sortie de l’album, voici ce que le NME en pense :

“a two-minute bit of fop-punk called “How Do You” that steals the riff from Sham 69’s “If The Kids Are United” (!) and finds Thom doing an awful Johnny Rotten impression. It breaks the momentum of “Pablo Honey” horribly, momentarily throwing all Radiohead’s tortured sensitivity out of the window and making them sound like beer-gutted losers from the class of ´76.”

Ce rapprochement avec le riff de guitare de la chanson “The Kids are United” de Sham 69 est d’ailleurs plutôt bien vu !
